Sleepy Hollow Blood Moon: Guess Who’s Back

                                          From http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uH3YTa0Gcm4

The second episode started off very intense with Ichabod barely escaping the four horsemen. Katrina unable to escape the world in between gives Ichabod another mission to catch a member of the horsemen’s army, a witch. Back with a vengeance, she plans to kill the descendants of those who were responsible for her being burned at the stake. But she has company John Cho is back to help her. In the first episode I thought it was weird two important characters were killed off now I can see why producers brought them back. Cho was given an assignment to find the descendants of those that burned her, and then she would use their ashes to return her body to its normal state.

Unlike the previous episode Blood Moon was not as jam packed with plot twists or with too many events happening. Instead the episode focused on stopping the witch before the Blood Moon.

I cringed most when Cho’s neck cracked back into place with all the bones coming into alignment and when I first saw the witches body burned to a crisp.

Just as in the first episode both Ichabod’s and Abbie’s characters made the show as they both struggled to trust one another. Ichabod who still was trying to grasp a lot of twenty first century customs and Abbie who struggled to believe that all the strange occurrences happening in Sleepy Hollow were real. Ichabod annoys Abbie more by getting disgusted by the doughnut tax, while Abbie sees the tax as just another tax we have to pay. His character at times seems hilarious as he battles modern technology. In another part he battles with technology, when Ichabod throws the gun on the ground after shooting a bullet, causing Abbie to have to explain to him that guns have more ammunition.

Another character makes a shocking comeback, Sherriff Corbin, when he appears in his office when Abbie enters. Sheriff Corbin who I thought was no longer going to be on the show, appeared on the show with his parenting nature as he tried to warn her to warn her. “Don’t be afraid of 49. There you won’t be alone.” The identity of Abbie’s sister is revealed. One of the horsemen appears in the mirror leaving us with a cliffhanger into the next week.

Overall I gave the show an A- for not cramming too much into one episode, and for finding a way to bring back characters. What do you expect to happen in next week’s episode?
