Are you down with the sickness? Plague that is...

Meme created and drawn by Theresa Stanton.
Character drawn is Ichabod suffering from the plague.
Plague’s didn’t we cure them all or at least a big portion of them. Well not exactly there’s one that killed an entire colony. A young boy was brought back from the lost colony by Pestilence, one of the headless horsemen to give the plague to all the inhabitants of those in Sleepy Hollow.
In this week’s episode ‘John Doe’ there were a lot of plot twists from finding out that Ichabod’s lover Katrina is trapped in Purgatory, making it nearly impossible for the two to ever be together. But with time hopefully he will be able to set her free or find his way to her.

Since the episode did not explain the meaning behind the word Pestilence I decided to look it up. After doing research I found out that it meant plague. So basically, Pestilence was responsible in the episode for spreading the plague to the lost colony in Virginia.
The idea of relating the lost colony to the plague was a great idea because it was part of history during Ichabod’s first lifetime.
I found the most shocking aspect of the show was finding out that the colony was brought back to life when the boy encountered a girl human being. Most of the ‘John Doe’ made viewers believe, or at least me that the lost colony was not lost but just hidden in Roanoke. In the last few minutes the show revealed that the lost colony had died during the plague and were brought back to life to spread the disease.
The only aspect I found a little odd was that faith cured the plague. Instead I think the episode should have ended with the water being the cure because faith didn’t solve nor did it get rid of any of the horsemen before.

According to Screen Rants blog, “Sadly, we have to wait 3-weeks before the next new episode, where the hessian is likely to make his return.”

I was very heartbroken when I read that we have to wait until November 3 for episode 6, ‘The Sin Eater.’ Knowing that we have to wait to see what the Headless Horseman has under his sleeve for 3 weeks is really upsetting.

Besides the episode dragging on by having the plague being cured by faith I think the episode was great Don’t get me wrong I’m not one to be against faith I just think adding in both the water as a possible cure and then faith was a little much. In my opinion producers should of stuck to one or the other. Overall I gave this episode a C-.
